Keith
He/Him
Nevadean
A.A.H.W.
Keith is a Grunt that generally resides in whatever A.A.H.W. base lets him in. He's vulnerable and cowardly, and doesn't do much fighting back.
He seems to only stay around because of the experiment done on him; he has a portable improbability drive implanted into his brain, causing inconveniences to him constantly. This has saved his life numerous times, however.
Keith's life is rather boring initially when it isn't constantly stressful, being bullied by agents whenever they get the chance to do so. Though, he's moved through many different bases and buildings - usually after a certain duo clears them out - and unknowingly to anyone else, he frequently hangs out with those individuals when they come by afterwards. He likes to watch things happen in these bases from (un)safe distances, finding an interest in overhearing important discussions and observing how others interact with each other. He's also been considered The Auditor's "pet" by plenty of others, usually being requested to do things for him. He doesn't do a whole lot of other things as his improbability drive acts up in intensive situations, though he's a pretty decent baker. He gets bullied a lot because of the odd string attached to his head, and even gets picked up using it by bored mag agents.
Keith was just like any other grunt at one point, except for when he wasn't; usually being bullied by others simply because of how he expresses himself, or because of how cowardly he is. He lived his life fairly decently until he decided to sign up for a vaguely-worded A.A.H.W.-conducted experiment he found off a poster. It was only a matter of time until he was chosen for it, and after a forgotten process, he had his own personal improbability drive stuck in his head. After this, his life took a turn for the worst, usually being shut in bases from around Nevada, and never seeing much outside influence. The drive has consistently caused problems for him, whether that be randomly throwing him into walls, causing him to be incapable of walking normally, or turning his cup of tea into a pure cup of spoiled milk. The drive has also saved him from danger, as well as from doing things he shouldn't; he never really gets to do anything he's not told to do. Despite this, he grew a fondness for baking things, which had actually gained him a level of respect. However, that level of respect abruptly stops there, as he's non-stop bullied for various reasons. Whether it be because he's a coward, short, stupid, useless, or has a tuggable string on his head, agents constantly have a reason to belittle him and push him around. It ended up getting so bad for Keith that he stopped fighting back and arguing about it, accepting that this is how it'll be for the rest of his life. He's never been able to learn how to utilize the drive, and has already given up on trying to work with it, sometimes trying to just work around it. Constantly being in a state of stress - from the bullying he faces and the improbability drive causing inconvenient things to happen regularly - has made him desparate to feel "happy" again. Plenty of time has passed since he was just another Nevadean, and he's never felt the same since.
Despite the differences in allyship, these two seem to get along far better than they should. Keith has a particular amount of friendliness shared with Deimos, considering Deimos' far more lax nature, and Keith's silliness. Whenever the two seem to meet again, they both end up having fun with each other, whether that be talking about life, or doing goofy skits together. It doesn't seem like Deimos necessarily cares about Keith's involvement with the A.A.H.W. and even seems to relate to him to an extent when it comes to the struggles he deals with. Deimos always seems to jump at the opportunity to get Keith a hotdog as well...
Though a little hesitantly, Sanford is decently chill about Keith, usually goofing around with him and Deimos when given the chance. Knowing that Keith is A.A.H.W. aligned, he has his suspicions, but is ultimately friendly with him. Sanford wouldn't hurt Keith maliciously, but would definitely shove him out of the way if he got too close.
Though you'd never see him admit it directly, The Auditor seemingly has an affinity for Keith; however, it's more a selfish desire to keep him around as if he were some sort of "pet". He'd "take care" of Keith in return for baked goods and (secretly) cuddles like he's a plush at night, and specifically doesn't let any agents kill him for any reason. The mere fact that Keith doesn't like to say "no" gives The Auditor more of a chance to use him for whatever simple thing needs to be done. At least Keith seems to feel fulfilled with these interactions.
My dad named him after I created the initial ornament he's based off of.
Keith's creation date is the 21st of December, 2023.
